Online/Virtual Colour Analyis

Yes, colour analysis can be done virtually. However, it should be approached with caution. You may have seen posts or apps that offer virtual colour analysis, and got a different result than you thought you would, or even got a different result each time you tried!

While AI platforms can explain the theory behind colour analysis, help you understand your undertones based on descriptions and suggest colour palettes based on your input, it cannot (yet) physically assess your skin tone, eye colour, and hair colour, use draping techniques to see how colours interact with your complexion, or offer the nuanced, personalised feedback a professional stylist provides.

Even if it could do these things (and it may do so in the future), it would still need a colour-correct photo of your face to do the analysis, as well as in-depth knowledge of the colour analysis system it uses. There are many systems out there, most based on the original four seasons system, but all expanded and defined in slightly different ways. AI tends to lump all the information it can find together, which means you'll probably end up with a lot of conflicting advice.

Many years of experience with personal colour analysis, as well as the proven accuracy of the Absolute colour system, gives me the ability to analyse colour from a photo with great success, provided that you send me accurate photos of yourself - which will be easy if you follow the instructions I provide. This means that you don't have to travel to see me in person to get all the same benefits!

Embark with me on this 3-step journey to discover the colours that make your eyes light up and your skin glow!

Step 1

Take your first photo

To analyse your colouring, I will need some good quality photos of your face and eyes, taken in the best light possible. As soon as I get your registration, I will send you an email with instructions on how to take your first set of photos. You will need to follow these instructions precisely, in order to get the best quality photos, so that I can see the colours accurately.

Step 2

More photos with colour cards

Because screens are not 100% reliable when it comes to colour, I will need a second set of photos.
Once I have analysed your first photos for your dominant colour characteristics, I will send you some colour cards in the post, along with clear instructions. You will need to take your second set of photos with these cards next to your face, and e-mail or text them to me. This allows me to make corrections for any colour distortion on the screen, and select your ideal colour palette.

Step 3

Video call

Once you have received your Colour Swatch, and booklet and Power Point/Canva presentation, you can arrange a 30-minute video call with me to discuss your colours step by step, and ask any questions you may have.

What you get

  • A personalised physical colour swatch of 50+ colours, with your Signature Colours selected. I will also send you a digital swatch that you can keep on your phone, however the physical swatch is more accurate.

  • A Power Point/Canva presentation with an overview of your colour palette and details of your unique colour- and value contrasts

  • A physical A5 booklet with advice on how to wear your colours, including your personal colour and value contrasts, and how these affect how you wear your colours. Also includes advice on hair colour, accessories and makeup.

  • A 30 minute Zoom session with Karin to discuss your colour palette and answer any questions you may have.
